Clinical Supervisor

 Job Description        

•Interview and hire student volunteers (trainees/interns) for the program. •Train and provide individual and group clinical supervision for student volunteers and clinical staff. •Provide clinical quality assurance through monitoring all clinical records to meet current contract standards. •Read and approve all service summaries and clinical notes. •Review, monitor & respond to all requests for client records, subpoenas, court orders within accordance with legal and BBS/licensing standards. •Document supervision and hours staff/volunteers (trainees/interns) complete in accordance with school and BBS requirements and standards. •Provide weekly and bi-weekly individual and group supervision. •Provide training to staff in the areas of Grief and Loss, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing and Compassion Awareness Validation and Empathy (CAVE), Family Group Decision Making, youth-led services, and other topics.

 

 Qualifications        

•Master’s degree in behavioral science or equivalent and be LCSW highly preferred. •Minimum 2 years post license to provide clinical supervisor per the Board of Behavioral Science requirements. •Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth involved in the foster care system required. •Minimum 2 years experience in an outpatient setting desirable. •Experience working with diverse population. •Well versed in Family Led and Youth Led social work philosophy. •Knowledge or expertise of families involved in the Child Welfare System in San Diego County, including current or former Foster Children/Youth, Probation Youth and Relative Caregivers (Kinship Care). •Experience or knowledge of Family Group Decision Making models, Family Finding and Permanency models. •Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office (Work, Access, Excel, etc.) •Experience with data collection and use of multiple databases.
