Program Director I - Transitional Housing

 Job Description        

•Participate in agency decision-making, program planning, policy development and administration oversight •Coordinate and manage individual supervision, group supervision, staff meetings, and program development meetings as scheduled •Ensure a clean, well-maintained and safe facility •Ensure programs operate in compliance to contract and community care licensing requirements •Manage resident and participant cases, including transition plans, educational/employment and emotional goals •Create, update, and maintain all program forms •Handle on-site participant crisis situations, over the phone crisis calls, and referrals •Recruit, train, manage, supervise, and motivate program teams •Perform mediation and crisis intervention between clients and staff as needed •Counsel program staff and program participant at intake regarding goals and progress related to independence •Oversee and coordinate orientation, intake and discharge procedures for program participants

 

 Qualifications        

•Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required, Master’s degree preferred •Must be 21 years of age or older •Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with young adults (ages 16-24) required •Experience with supervision, staff training, budget monitoring, and group process required •Familiarity with the operations of a residential or transitional living program required •Experience with Independent Living Skills issues required •Experience with federal, state and local fair housing laws preferred •Basic computer knowledge and skills •Must be self-aware, flexible, adaptable and teachable. •Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. •Strong organization skills with the ability to work in an environment of rapidly changing deadlines. •Must have reliable transportation to travel throughout San Diego County •Valid CA Driver's License •Good driving record •Current CDL H6 print-out •Pass pre-employment drug testing
