Director of Human Resources

 Job Description        

-Management and supervision of the Human Resources Department personnel. -Oversees recruitment, hiring and placement of employees. -Develops, updates and implements personnel policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state laws. -Negotiates and interprets contract pertaining to the collective bargaining unit. -Coordinates benefit review, selection and administration. -Oversees compliance with Workers’ Safety Program (OSHA, OBRA and other requirements to ensure health and safety of employees). -Ensures compliance with all federal and state wage and hour laws and regulations. -Provides direction for employee relations, including progressive discipline, grievances, commendations and recognition. -Coordinates employee performance system. -Oversee employee orientation and ongoing training program. -Participates in strategic and budget planning, implementation and monitoring. -Perform other required duties, tasks, responsibilities as required, assigned or directed.

 

 Qualifications        

Education: B.A./B.S. degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or other related field. Master’s degree in Human Resources preferred. Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Human Resources with two years in management and supervision in a Human Resources Department. SHRM Certified Professional or SPHR/PHR Certification preferred. Experience managing health benefit plans.
