We are looking for an experienced manager to assist the Executive Director in overseeing our ongoing operations and procedures. The person we are seeking will be responsible for the administrative integrity and operational effectiveness of Rise Up Industries’ programs. The primary duties of the Deputy ED is to secure the functionality of various business enterprises, monitor the overall day to day requirements of the operation and to drive rapid and sustainable growth of this relatively new non-profit.
The Deputy ED will be a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Executive Director. The selected applicant will have to be capable of managing diverse business operations, and have solid communication and leadership skills, and exemplary work ethics.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
•Assist ED with design and implementation of business strategies, plans and procedures.
•Actively engage in the introduction, promotion and presentation of the RUI Mission to prospective financial donors (including individuals, groups of individuals, non-profit organizations and Foundations). Introductions will be made in and outside the office.
•Actively engage in the introduction, promotion and presentation of the RUI Mission to prospective employees, program volunteers and prospective Board Members.
•Actively assist in growing the business revenue within its three primary revenue sources of Service Contracts, Private Donations, and Grants.
•Assist the ED with setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth of RUI.
•Oversee daily operations and ensure cooperation and teamwork among various staff members in supporting RUI projects.
•Assist ED with evaluating performance through interpretation and analysis of reports, data and metrics.
•Write and submit reports to the ED in matters affecting administrative and operational functions.
•Assist with developing and managing relationships with partners/vendors.
•Proven experience as a manager or relevant role (either with a non-profit or for profit business).
•Understanding of business functions such as HR, finance, marketing etc. and the importance of alignment and teamwork among these functions.
•Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
•Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
•Excellent grammar and writing skills.
•Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.
•Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
•Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
•Experience with fundraising will be a plus.
•BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MS/MBA is a plus.
