Finance & Administration Manager

 Job Description        

Duties include but are not limited to the following: •Monitor program performance against forecast and budget goals and explain significant variances •Partner with the Departmental Leaders to track their actual spend, understand ongoing risks and opportunities to the budget, analyze current month expenses for completeness, and develop a strong working relationship to collaborate on the monthly forecast process •Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable •Monthly invoicing, reconciling A/R, and customer service for 12 childcare sites •Collections for childcare accounts •Manage EZCare childcare database and its interface to payroll and QuickBooks •Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations •Accounting and reporting for all fund-raising, special events, donations and grants •Monthly financial statement production and analysis •Semi-monthly payroll processing using Payroll Hub

 

 Qualifications        

•5+ years of bookkeeping experience required, with non-profit experience a plus •Bachelor’s degree, preferred with courses in accounting. Advanced qualifications (CPA or MBA) a plus •Knowledge and proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software required •Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) required •Understand the difference between cash and accrual, and matching expense to income •Intermediate to advanced experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end financial reporting, general ledger, accruals, and payroll •Independent, problem-solving abilities, detail-oriented, highly organized, with strong communication skills •Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize work, solve problems, and operate under time and work volume pressure •Effective interpersonal skills and flexibility a must

 

 Additional Information        

•Provide assistance for yearly budgeting, forecasting childcare income and expense •Prepare for annual audit, liaison with auditors •Review Audit, 990 and 5500 •Provide data as needed for annual report •Prepare 1099’s •File annual property tax return, annual sales tax return •Assist with annual insurance renewals and amortization schedules •Respond to EDD requests for information •Manage employee onboarding and HR files •Manage company insurance – liability, workers compensation, and health insurance •Ensure IT networks run smoothly – manage Microsoft Office online, liaison with IT vendor and oversee IT functions Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000
