|
Serving as a member of the Management Team, this position’s primary responsibility is ensuring effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization’s fire & burn prevention programs. The position also contributes to the development & implementation of strategies to continuously improve the community outreach & prevention programs. Candidate will: Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward the organization’s excellence in programs & community outreach; Develop & manage annual prevention program budget; Develop, implement, manage & evaluate the various fire & burn prevention programs; With an emphasis on program excellence, growth, efficacy, & outcomes. Supervise & coach prevention program staff & interns associated with programs; Positively represent the organization at various events & throughout the community; Perform public speaking duties to groups & possible media; Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications |
|

|
|
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years prior experience in the non-profit sector; health & human services setting required. A minimum of three years of supervisory and management experience required in program administration including needs assessment, development, delivery, management, & evaluation. Excellent written, verbal & organizational skills required to inspire & lead staff. Strong public speaking talents necessary & the willingness to work with a wide range of people, community partners, & volunteers. Must have the ability to work independently & also effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors & the public. Must be positive, organized, analytical & a capable problem-solver.

Attend board meetings & any other meetings and/or conferences as requested. Must possess & maintain California Driver’s License and automobile insurance. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Employment at the Burn Institute is at-will. Flexibility: Occasional weekend & evening hours as necessary. Burn Institute offers full-time staff 11 paid holidays; 20 PTO days accrued in a calendar year; health, vision, dental, chiropractic, & life insurance benefits; 403b retirement plan.
