As a member of the senior management team and in partnership with the Executive Director, Associate Executive Director, Board of Trustees, and the Philanthropy team, the Director of Philanthropy is responsible for developing, implementing, and scaling a comprehensive fundraising plan to achieve short-term and long-term financial goals. This includes direct responsibility for soliciting annual and major gifts ($5,000-$50,000), as well as oversight of membership, grants, sponsorships, and special event fundraising. This position works to create department plans and revenue forecasts, evaluate and enhance the donor experience, and ensure the integrity of fundraising methods. The Director should take a keen interest in building a culture of philanthropy to include cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing donors, coaching board members, and evangelizing staff, volunteers and key stakeholders about supporting the mission of the Center through philanthropy.
