Organization: Jewish Family Service of San Diego Position Type: Full-time, exempt Benefits: Benefits for this position include a 401(k) plan, medical, dental and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, life insurance and generous time off and holiday benefits. Position Overview The Benefits Manager is an integral part of the JFS Human Resources team, which works as reliable partners and consultants to staff at all levels of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing and independently managing the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs as well as ensuring compliance with the ACA and federal/state laws. The Benefits Manager also helps to define and shape the future of employee benefits programs at JFS to ensure we attract and retain top talent. This position provides excellent customer service and continually investigates new benefits programs, improves existing programs and processes, and supervises and maintains the HR benefits function.  Qualifications        

Qualifications:  2-3 years’ experience in an HR generalist or benefits support role, required  SHRM-CP, PHR, or employee benefits certification, preferred  Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, a plus  Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team  Highly professional and service-oriented  Embraces change, is flexible, and succeeds in an environment in which priorities can quickly shift  Organized with a strong attention to detail  Excellent technical skills and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly  Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, required  Excellent problem solving and time management skills  Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality  Experience with Benetrac Benefits Administration System, a plus
