REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer What you will be doing?: Are you interesting in being part of an amazing team of change-makers? This position represents an extraordinary opportunity to oversee, create and expand critical services within the San Diego community. At the broadest level, the Senior Director will ensure JFS meets and exceeds its commitment to creating, implementing, and maintaining scalable services that empower and enable individuals and families to thrive. These programs currently include services for resource navigation, parenting and youth services, refugee resettlement, employment services, and behavioral health education. This position is a member of JFS’ Senior Leadership team responsible for programs and services, playing a key role in discussions and decisions about the strategic direction of the organization. It directly supervises four directors and provides leadership support for a team of over 80 staff. This is a highly visible position within our organiza

 

 Qualifications        

Linguistic/Cultural Knowledge: • Comfort working in an environment where multiple languages are spoken • Experience working with the organization’s/program’s service populations. Education/Licenses/Certifications: • Bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline required • Masters degree and current licensure (LCSW, MFT) in the State of California a plus Experience: • Five to seven years of leadership experience required • Passionate commitment and deep knowledge of services for families • Exceptional strategic, analytical, and critical thinking abilities • High level of emotional intelligence, with superior verbal and written communication skills • Experience managing high-performing individuals and teams • Experience implementing and overseeing best practice, evidence-based programs • Creative, innovative thinker who embraces new and innovative ways of approaching planning, challenges, and opportunities; willing to challenge the status quo; adapt
