Duties:
Reports to Executive Director.
Oversee all financial operations and assist Executive Director with the implementation of financial planning and structure.
Coordinate, analyze and prepare financial reports presented to Management and Board of Directors.
Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firm and work with the District’s audit committee to help review firm’s performance.
Work with Executive Director to develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, records retention, employee relations and other organizational policies.
Supervise small finance department staff including bookkeeper, interns and others. Also responsible for motivating, training and supervising diverse groups of on-site volunteers (including youth) at events and conventions. Responsible for registration, merchandise inventory/sales and all other financial/transactional activities of membership organization.
Proficiency in all aspects of non-profit accounting and all rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Responsible for oversight of all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, organizational insurance and related activities.

You must have experience with all key areas mentioned in description below.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting/Business and/or 10+ years of experience in the field/s with a high level of competency.
Non-profit 501(c3) and/or membership organization 501(c4) experience preferred but not required.
You must have a passion for getting things done, and an appreciation for details.
You must believe in continual process improvement, but you must be ready to jump in to handle fires as they occur.
QuickBooks mastery and working knowledge of web based transactional software essential.
