Senior Director of Residential Programs

 Job Description        

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Senior Director of Residential Programs serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting the San Diego Center for Children. Responsible for the leadership, development, implementation, and oversight of residential services for severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, including fully integrated intensive mental health services. Provides a vision of quality care in coordination with Senior Leadership for the enhancement and growth of all services. Represents the Center to all major stakeholders.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Must be a licensed clinician (MFT, LCSW, LPC or Psychologist) with four years post-licensure • A minimum of seven years clinical experience working in a residential treatment setting with children • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated progressive supervision/management experience in clinical or residential settings • Multicultural awareness; strong communication and writing skills • Strong leadership skills • Valid California Driver’s License PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) • Standard First Aid • Group Home Administrator • Safe Positive Approaches (S.P.A.) Certification
