Director, Fund for Animals Wildlife Center

 Job Description        

Overseeing all functions associated with the management of FFAWC; Enhancing visibility and outreach through promotion of the center and providing direction on programs and facilities; Prioritizing needs and approving expenditures along with formulating and producing annual budget; Generating public and donor interests, providing and coordinating presentations, acting as media contact and speaker informing audiences of the broad work of the FFAWC to solicit support; Driving development of all aspects of communications with publications and online materials and websites; Supervising employees as needed; Maintaining all records, providing and seeking out training opportunities, coordinating scheduling and ensuring FFAWC runs efficiently; Developing, cultivating, and retaining donor base to achieve revenue goals and sustainability; Developing business partners and building relationships with major donors, foundations, constituents, and the public.

 

 Qualifications        

Bachelorís degree in a management field or equivalent experience required; Minimum of 5 yearsí experience in fundraising and donor cultivation required; Managing a non-profit or zoological facility preferred; Experience in fundraising and donor cultivation required; Supervisory of 5 or more employees required; Knowledge of business operations, including effective budget development and management processes, as well as the ability to translate strategic thinking into action plans and related outcomes; Demonstrated ability to build community and individual relationships and the ability to build/foster relationships; Superior leadership skills with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of staff management practices and processes along with the ability to establish accountabilities and expectations, and manage performance to achieve results;
