Assistant Administrator-Adult Residential Facility

 Job Description        

Position Summary The Assistant Administrator is required to be directly involved with the delivery, oversight and coordination of resident services and supports for individuals with acquired brain injuries living in San Diego Brain Injury Foundation’s (SDBIF) Adult Residential Facility (ARF), Howard House (located in Escondido, CA). Primary duties and responsibilities are to assist the ARF Administrator with the following functions: maintain compliance with all CCLD requirements, oversee all resident needs in accordance with the Needs and Services plan, provide direct supervision and development of direct care staff, provide direct resident care as needed, maintain staff and resident files, coordinate required onboarding and training of direct care staff.

 

 Qualifications        

•One year of experience providing facility care to individuals with disabilities •Current ARF Administrator certification highly desired. If no certification currently, ability to obtain certification as a condition of employment. •Demonstrated understanding of CCLD licensing regulations pertaining to ARFs •1 year of experience supervising direct care staff •TB clearance obtained within the last 12 months •Ability to pass background check (DOJ/FBI/CCL) •Knowledgeable of the care, support and supervision of individuals with acquired brain injuries. Experience working with cognitively impaired adults highly desirable. •Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, problem solving skills and exhibit unquestionable work ethics. •Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs unassisted. •Ability to effectively communicate verbally in person and over the phone with a variety of constituents including residents, family members, community members and licensing staff •Driver license

 

 Additional Information        

Position works 30 hours per week, typically Monday-Friday, but some flexibility required. Pay is $18 per hour to start. To apply, submit resume and cover letter via email to kurt@sdbif.org
