 Job Description        

This is a temporary position, lasting 6 months.† From February 1, 2019, to July 2019 SUMMARY To provide a safe and favorable therapeutic climate for each student in the school. The therapist is responsible for providing students and their families with an array of therapeutic services, working in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team at the school. In addition to individual, group, and family therapy, they provide case management, ongoing collaboration with outside professionals, and discharge planning for the students/families on their caseload. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Masterís degree from an accredited university Registered intern in social work (ASW) or psychology (Ph.D.), or marriage and family therapy (IMF) Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively with children in a therapeutic setting Valid California Driverís License PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Licensed clinician in social work (LCSW) or psychology (Ph.D.), or marriage and family therapy (MFT) Clinical experience working in a school setting, including family therapy and working effectively with a multidisciplinary team Training/experience in the area of latency and adolescent age students and families Experience working with adolescents with co-occurring disorders Demonstrated experience in case management Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Standard First Aid CPI
