 Job Description        

Position Summary: Responsible for the coordination and evaluation of CCS’ trauma-informed volunteer program. Conduct outreach, recruitment, and assessment of potential volunteers to provide CCS services, including counseling, legal, advocacy, hotline, prevention and education, shelter, development, and administration. In partnership with program managers, provide guidance, support, resources and tools to staff who supervise and train volunteers. In addition, the position coordinates volunteer participation in the required 65-hour Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Training, tracks volunteer hours for the organization, and provides ongoing support for both volunteers and CCS leadership in their supervision of volunteers. The position coordinates annual review and ensures the updating of volunteer job descriptions, ongoing trainings, and volunteer procedures.



EDUCATION  Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, public health, or related field or equivalent in experience. EXPERIENCE  A minimum of one year coordinating or managing volunteers in a nonprofit setting.  A minimum of one year working in with survivors of relationship violence, sexual assault, or stalking providing crisis intervention services.  A minimum of one year of experience conducting outreach and providing education on complex issues to the general public. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, SPECIALIZED TRAINING  Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish. Current knowledge of and expertise in using best practice methods for crisis intervention, especially with individuals impacted by sexual assault, relationship violence, and/or stalking.  Ability to build strong rapport, give constructive feedback, and maintain a constructive learning environment with diverse volunteer and staff. Strong in the areas of oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, community relations, and demonstrated leadership. 
