 Job Description        

SALARY: $15.00 AN HOUR. (40 hrs/wk) Full-time position with full benefits. The Property and Contracts Associate provides general support to The Salvation Army Sierra del Mar Divisionís Property and Contracts & Administrator. Attend all meetings and represent the Divisional Secretary for Business in his/her absence as required. Provide administrative support; assist in carrying out special projects as assigned. Provide status-update reports as requested. Maintain accurate records of Contracts Department documents. Maintain a monitoring system for processing all invoices and bills for payment; adhere to project agreements and Policy & Procedures (P&P). Author and prepare contract proposals for CFC and THQ review. Research contracts for potential conflicts and similarities to insure best practices throughout the Western Territorial region. Manage compliance and approval process for significant contract and property agreements.



Qualifications: Minimum B.A. degree required. Minimum two (2) years of experience in administrative work required; corporate/nonprofit experience highly desirable. Requires exceptional organizational skills; ability to multitask, and ability to efficiently handle requests in a high-volume environment. Requires high-level oral and written communication skills; may include instruction and presentation. Requires demonstrated maturity with willingness and ability to maintain confidentiality. Requires independent initiative; attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines; self-discipline in repetitive tasks, and high-quality work. Requires MS Office Suite and Adobe document editing; working knowledge of integrated database applications, and ability quickly adapt to new software with basic training. Strong finance and accounting acumen with general contract and construction experience desired. Maintain a valid CA Driver License with less than two violations in the last 12 months.
