Clinicians in Crisis Program

 Job Description        

LCSWs, MFTs and LPCCs are you looking for rewarding clinical work where you can make a difference daily with the children, youth and families you serve? We are looking for licensed clinicians who can: *develop rapport quickly with children and youth *provide trauma informed bio social assessments *communicate effectively orally and in writing *efficiently use their time and successfully multi-task *work effectively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast paced environment. The Emergency Screening Unit (ESU) serves Medi-Cal and unfunded youth throughout the county of San Diego. The ESU is a county-contracted program under the parent company of New Alternatives, Inc (NAI), a non-profit agency with programs in San Diego and Orange County. ESU has been the only screening and assessment LPS facility for youth, in an acute psychiatric crisis, in the county since 1995. As a result of the programsí success, ESU will be moving and expanding its programming from 4 to 12 beds in the Hillcrest area.

 

 Qualifications        

We are currently hiring full time Licensed clinicians. Primary responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, assessing voluntarily youth to determine if they need to be placed on a hold, reassessing youth that continue their stay at ESU for clinically indicated reasons, case management with youth discharging, engaging youth on crisis unit in stabilization activities, aftercare follow-up contacts with youth/families, and participation in daily treatment team meetings. Candidates must be Licensed in California as a LCSW, LPCC, or MFT. Experience with youth in crisis preferred. As a 24/7 program, the days/hours vary. The available shifts are four 10-hour workdays, Sun-Thurs or Wed-Sat. Hours also vary from 10am-8:30pm and 11am-9:30pm, limited overnight hours also available.

 

 Additional Information        

NAI offers competitive compensation and benefits for full-time employees after the 90-day probation period. Salary Range $59k-$61/yearly. To apply, please fax or email resume.
