Culinary Programs Assistant

 Job Description        

This role will be responsible for supporting in all aspects of FFP activities relating to client support and training as well as business operations relating to Project CHOP and Culinary Arts vocational education training. Specific job tasks includes providing training and supervision for kitchen participants, maintaining food safety logs, supporting business operations such as purchasing, liaising with catering customers, client case management and documentation, Project CHOP marketing and evaluation and reporting for grants.

 

 Qualifications        

Degree or certificate in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Nutrition or related field preferred; At least 2 years of paid experience working in a commercial kitchen, food production facility or related work environment; At least 1-2 years of teaching food science, culinary arts, English or some relevant area; Some supervisory experience overseeing others; Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as office/computer skills, for evaluation data entry, project reporting and IRC team collaboration; Ability to work in a low-literacy, multi-cultural and multi-lingual work environment; Ability to efficiently work independently as well as in a close, collaborative environment; Strong written, verbal, computer and interpersonal communication skills are required.
