BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

 Job Description        

The Business Engagement Coordinator establishes and coordinates career readiness and employment services activities for East Region Adult Education (ERAE) students and assists them in career planning, goal-setting and the development of individualized career plans. In collaboration with the consortiumís Grant Manager, the Business Engagement Coordinator develops partnerships with regional employers; markets ERAE programs to regional businesses and coordinates job resources; and performs related duties as assigned. The Business Engagement Coordinator recognizes that education and career pathways will be student centered and whenever possible, self-guided. The Business Engagement Coordinator will be employed by the Foundation for Grossmont & Cuyamaca Colleges and will work closely with Grossmont Adult Education, Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, and other partners.

 

 Qualifications        

Any combination equivalent to Bachelorís Degree with three years of experience career counseling, social services, job development or related fields. Experience in public relations and in technical writing. Bi-lingual (Spanish or Arabic preferred).
