Training Specialist - Career Pathways,

 Job Description        

The Training Specialist for Career Pathways is responsible for delivering training and technical assistance in support of the Public Mental Health System (PMHS) Project, also referred to as Career Pathways. The Training Specialist is responsible for conducting live in-person and live on-line classes, workshops and presentations for the NAMI San Diego programs Career Pathways and Career Pathways Community Partner Edition. This position will contribute to implementing effective trainings; professional presentations, and engagement tools, along with providing follow-up with PMHS identified Peers and Providers. Works in concert with Career Pathways Team, Program Manager, Director of Education and all NAMI San Diego Employees to ensure the integrity and accountability of community programs and relations.  Qualifications        

Lived experience with mental illness for self or as a family member and grounded in personal recovery strongly preferred. Bachelorís Degree in relevant field preferred or clearly demonstrated equivalent work experience in the field. Excellent presentation skills, knowledge of mental health basics and business with training experience in business settings. Experience collaborating with development of digital and in-person trainings and presentations. Knowledge of the Countyís Behavioral Health System, and community based organizations. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing as well as keep confidential information confidential and be discrete. Excellent organizational skills and monitoring details focus. Valid DL, auto insurance, and access to use of a car as needed. Ability to present information to public groups.Bilingual Spanish a plus. Ability to type using computer is essential with competency using Microsoft Office programs and social media experience a plus
