 Job Description        

**SALARY/STATUS: $16.00-$20.00 per hour DOE / Full-Time, Non-Exempt** Under the direction of the Director of Children's Programs, the Site Coordinator is responsible for the J-Team program services at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, or designated JCC site. The Site Coordinator organizes, implements and is a strong team leader of the exceptional Lawrence Family JCC J-Team After School Enrichment Program. This position is concerned primarily with the achievement of excellent, safe, enriching daily program services. This position works closely with the Director of Children's Programs, J-Team staff, transportation services, and families of children in the program.

 

 Qualifications        

1) Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreational Management or related fields are preferred but not required. 2) 2+ years' experience in Youth Development. 3) 2+ years’ direct classroom or relevant experience. 4) Demonstrated ability to run youth programs. 5) Proven commitment to good customer service. 6) Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people, staff and community. 7) Exhibited sensitivity and ability to work within a diverse population. 8) Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 9) Strong management, organizational and interpersonal skills. 10) Strong knowledge of program service and delivery. 11) Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple, simultaneous tasks; finish projects on time; while maintaining budget parameter. 12) Advanced knowledge with computers and Google Docs, Sheets, etc. to prepare correspondence, newsletters, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** 1) Requires long periods of sitting and standing. 2) Frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms for long periods of time. 3) Occasional lifting, pulling, climbing, kneeling, and bending. 4) Regularly required to communicate. 5) Must have the visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency -situation. 6) Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 7) Ability to adequately observe participant’s activities, enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate emergency management techniques. 8) Must have physical capacity to set up daily activities and demonstrate / participate / train personnel in the same activities. 9) Ability to physically perform CPR. 10) Ability to do light lifting (maximum 25 lbs) as needed is required.
