Housing Navigator- TAY Services (North County)

 Job Description        

Provides navigation of housing services to TAY Services participants. Provide supportive housing case management, outreach and engagement, assistance with housing placement and stabilization services as well as volunteer coordination. Assist in program development, operation and team decision making while supporting program outcomes.

 

 Qualifications        

•Must be 21 years of age or older •Bachelor’s degree in social science, psychology or a related field is required, Master’s degree highly preferred •Knowledge of adolescent development preferred •Two years of experience providing direct service to high risk youth/street youth preferred •One year of experience in housing subsidy programs preferred •Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff, volunteers and the community •Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred •Must be available to work required evening, weekend and holiday shifts •Ability to work in a very diverse setting with people of all backgrounds, culture and orientation •Experience with HMIS data entry preferred •Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.) •Basic computer knowledge and skills •Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and problem solving skills •Ability to work with confidential information •Must be self-aware, flexible, adaptable and teachable
