Child & Family Therapist - Bilingual - Para Las Familias

 Job Description        

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Child and Family Therapist (CFT) is responsible for assessing and providing behavior intervention and family therapy services in preschools, the home, child care, and/or other community based settings to children 0 to 5 years old and their families. The CFT provides attachment-based treatment with some behavioral interventions, as well as case management and care coordination services for children and their families at Para Las Families (PLF).



At minimum, a Masterís Degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work from an accredited university is required. At least 2 yearsí experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with young children and families. Registered with the State of California as a licensed MFT or LCSW, or registered as an AMFT or ACSW. Must have a current BBS Number Additional field-appropriate certifications helpful (e.g, RDI, Circle of Security, Theraplay, PCIT, CPP, etc..) Background or courses in early child socio-emotional and physical development strongly preferred.


 Additional Information        

Must pass criminal background check, including Live Scan fingerprinting. Valid California driverís license and automobile insurance required. Must have access to reliable transportation. Must have CPR certification or be willing to acquire on the job. Must have medical clearance certifying absence of TB. For more information, please visit
