Skills Trainer - North

 Job Description        

Skills Trainers will provide skills training to program youth directly related to the goals of the youth's treatment plan; Skills Trainers will act as the youth’s advocate, mentor, and behavior coach, and attend wrap meetings for coordination of care.  The average caseload is 10– 12 youth. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

 Qualifications        

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: -Bilingual in Spanish -Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation -Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or experience as a system involved youth -Good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: -Proficient in Cerner (online medical records system) -Experience working in a Wraparound program or with foster/probation youth Personal experience as a consumer of services as a youth

 

 Additional Information        

Pay Scale: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour Work Schedule: Full-time 10am - 6:30 pm - THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION LASTING 6 MONTHS
