Bilingual Recovery Specialist

 Job Description        

Recovery for LIFE (RFL) is a trauma informed out-patient substance abuse and co-occurring treatment program in North County San Diego. The RFL Specialist, under the supervision of the RFL Program Manager, is responsible for the coordination of and delivery of co-occurring and substance abuse services. The Recovery Specialist will deliver individual and group recovery services through a number of Evidenced Based Practices (EBP)—via a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective. The NewLife Recovery Specialist will provide substance abuse and psychoeducational groups encompassing a variety of topics related to life domains, relapse prevention strategies and coping skills.

 

 Qualifications        

Must be willing to obtain an AOD certification. BA in psychology, social work, human services or 2 years equivalent experience in substance abuse and/or counseling, co-occurring treatment highly desired. Must possess a professional demeanor, excellent written and verbal communication skills, well organized, detail oriented, and ability to think on your feet. Be able to respond quickly and effectively to many types of situations, including crisis situations. Must have good driving record and willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed). Employment is contingent upon passing required pre-employment clearances and background checks, including TB and drug testing.
