Youth Program Leader - Klassic Kids

 Job Description        

Our mission at Harmonium is to promote well-being and self-sufficiency in children, youth, and adults through creative education, intervention, and prevention services rooted in collaboration with neighborhoods and families. Our Activity Leaders ensure the safety, security, and well-being of the children enrolled in the program. Implementation of homework assistance, arts & craft/special activities, recreation and supervision of children are primary responsibilities. Part time, Non-exempt $11.50 per hour Retirement plan match maximum 2% of annual salary (403b) CA Paid Sick Leave accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked with a maximum accrual of 80 hours per calendar year.

 

 Qualifications        

− Possess Community Care Licensing qualifications for child care Counselor, Section 101315, including at least 9 units and currently enrolled in at 3 units in early education, child, growth & development, recreation, humanities, or education including college work-study, volunteer or internship − 18 years of age or older − Must be CPR and First Aid certified − A minimum of 6 months experience working, volunteering and/or interning with school-aged children programs such as day cares, recreation programs, social service agencies − Demonstrated ability in arts & crafts, games and special activities − Ability to relate well to children and adults − Reliable automobile, valid CA Driverís license and maintain proof of current automobile insurance − Valid TB results required − Must pass Alcohol/Drug Test and Fingerprint Clearance upon hire (paid by Harmonium)
