 Job Description        

About the Job: The Administrative Assistant provides support to the CEO and the agency as a whole. The Administrative Assistant works closely with the CEO, management team and Comptroller to ensure agency runs effectively and efficiently. This position is fast paced with oversight of multiple responsibilities at one time. The primary function of this position is internal operational and administrative support. The Administrative Assistant is a central contact for both internal and external staff and consultants. Additionally this position builds and sustains good working relationships with staff, grantors, vendors, board member offices and national, state and community partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant will perform a very wide variety of tasks working as part of a cohesive team, including but not limited to: •Coordinate and manage CEO’s schedule and calendar including: meetings, calls and reservations for weekly travel •Staff Board



Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes •Honest, strong work ethic and a supportive and positive attitude •Sense of urgency and commitment to follow through and complete all needed duties and tasks •Strong organizational skills •Keen attention to detail and aspiration to excellence •Working knowledge of basic accounting practices including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and invoicing •Proficiently in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook •Ability to multi-task and manage multiple demands and priorities •Ability to problem solve by identifying, researching and implementing solutions •AA degree or above and 3 years experience in office and administrative support . •Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills •Must maintain reliable transportation, possess a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance

The Children's Initiative helps underserved children and families reach their full potential by developing, strengthening, and promoting services, programs, and policies that respond to family and community needs in the areas of health, education, safety, and economic security. This position reports directly to CEO. Non-Exempt position. Salary Range: $48,000-$52,000
