Administrative Assistant - Reentry Court

 Job Description        

The Administrative Assistant supports the day to day activities of the Reentry Court Program staff. The position collects and records participant information and maintains client files among other duties listed below. This position requires incumbent to make independent and discretionary decisions and to work independently and with minimal supervision and guidance. Collects and records required program information, such as employment verification, documentation of program milestones, and data entry. Collection of client information and data entry into electronic database in a timely manner (72 hours). Maintain accurate case notes/files, record and track data relative to an individual's assessments. Assist in conducting scheduled participant follow up contacts. Assist Second Chance Reentry Court Program staff with programming activities Maintain client case files. Create monthly participant incentive and supportive service reconciliation reports. Support group meetings



Experience: At least one (1) years' experience providing similar services. Previous experience working with at-risk and high-risk juvenile population preferred. 2. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with other staff to ensure the best possible service to clients. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, FileMaker Pro and Internet research. Meticulous attention to detail. Good decision-making skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision and to participate as a team member. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and aggressive deadlines. Ability to communicate clearly with a diverse clientele and staff/co-workers while remaining sensitive to cultural differences or behavior in a multicultural community and various cultural and ethnic groups in a tactful, professional and effective manner. Education: High School Degree or equivalency; minimum of two years of relevant experience.
