 Job Description        

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting and assisting the President and CEO with organizational and administrative functions such as daily office tasks, scheduling travel in some circumstances, helping coordinate domestic violence training materials and webinars, and a variety of other administrative tasks. The position will also require close work with the Executive Assistant to assist with organizational and administrative functions needed in the daily operations of the Alliance and collaboration with the Director of Finance to assist with the monitoring of grantees. This position will staff the front desk of the Alliance and be the first point of contact for the organization for visitors, callers and clients of attorneys co-located with the Alliance in the Justice Legal Network.



This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, flexibility, excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as with domestic violence professionals across the nation. •Background working in the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault community •A heart for survivors of trauma and abuse •Commitment to the guiding principles of the Alliance •Strong interpersonal skills •Attention to detail and self-motivated •Strong oral and written communication skills •Experience in accounting procedures, general administrative and office operations procedures and also event coordination •Knowledge and experience in basic computer word processing, email, Internet and publishing software •Experience in the use of QuickBooks as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint •Proficient in Mac and PC

Alliance for HOPE International is a nonprofit agency launched in 2006 and is the only national social change organization focused on developing collaborative, multi-agency and multi-disciplinary models to serve victims of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, elder abuse and human trafficking. The Alliance for HOPE oversees five core programs: National Family Justice Center Alliance, Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention, Camp HOPE America, Justice Legal Network and VOICES Survivor Network.
