Accounting Assistant

 Job Description        

Duties and Responsibilities: Manage Payroll; Process Time cards;Input payroll biweekly and distribute checks; Maintain PTO records; Process 403b investments & annual 403b audit; Assist in record keeping for human resources; Process accounts payables; Process accounts receivables, from both the gift shop, welcome center and other checks; Credit card processing; Monitor check log; Prepare bank deposits; Filing; Assist with accounting for the Welcome Center, Gift Shop and events; Inventory accounting; Work with bookkeeper with Annual Audit, and other special projects; Support the Welcome Center/ customer service; Other duties as assigned



Skills: 3 to 5 years QuickBooks Pro experience; Strong knowledge of Excel; QuickBooks POS and Inventory; Non profit experience preferred; This is a full time position with some flexibility.

Requirements: Candidate must be approachable, supportive, and flexible. Must be a team player, be able to organize and prioritize work and to manage time accordingly, pay attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate ability to work well with other staff and volunteers, work with minimum supervision and in an area with frequent interruptions, and be flexible enough to deal with changing priorities. Confidentiality is a must. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Employee must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and Windows and complete projects accurately and completely within deadlines.
