Organization: Jewish Family Service of San Diego Position Type: Full- time, Non-Exempt Pay Rate: $25 - $27 an hour Benefits: Benefits for this position include a 401(k) plan, medical, dental and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, life insurance and generous holiday benefits. Position Overview The Accounts Payable Lead interacts with all Accounting Department members to support various accounting functions. Works closely with AP Clerks on daily processing and Accounting Manager on month-end and year-end close process, receive project assignments, and respond to requests for financial information and analysis. Interacts with management personnel to obtain supporting documentation required for accounting items and resolve A/P related issues/problems. Responsibilities: Responsible for all activity related to Accounts Payable Helping to resolve accounting technical issues for AP Clerks Ensuring all AP transactions are recorded accurately.



Skills/Abilities that are a Must-Have: Minimum of 5 years accounting experience Minimum of 3 years of AP full cycle and MEC. College Degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent experience Experience in non-profit is highly preferred. Strong critical thinking skills Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts, theories, practices and analysis techniques. Must be proficient and skilled in various PC software applications, accounting packages, and Outlook. Must be proficient in advanced Excel features such as pivot tables and V-lookups. Must possess solid analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills in order to effectively identify accounting problems and develop appropriate courses of action. Must have ability to develop and train staff Must be able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
