Executive Assistant

 Job Description        

Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Assistant (EA) provides critical administrative and organizational support on diverse matters pertaining to the CEO and senior leadership team; serves as liaison to the Board of Directors; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and participates in special projects as assigned. The EA must be able to work independently, sometimes under deadline pressure, handling a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with sensitivity and discretion. Must be a creative problem-solver who enjoys working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven, and community-oriented. Ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations; be a self-starter; possess strong written and verbal communication, as well as outstanding administrative and organizational skills. Handles and completes a broad range of high level administrative tasks for the CEO.



Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 5 years supporting C-Level executives, preferably in a non-profit organization. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Professional, WordPress and website development, and Social Media web platforms. Self-motivated and able to execute tasks with minimal direction. Must be eligible to work in the United States and no relocation expenses. California CASA is a statewide organization; there may be occasional travel requirements for Board or other meetings.


 Additional Information        

Experience and/or interest in internal and external communications, partnership development, and fundraising. Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Basic math skills to assist with spreadsheets, expense reports and basic bookkeeping. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners, and donors. Emotional maturity, good sense of humor and highly resourceful team player.
