 Job Description        

Specific Responsibilities: Accountable to Program Manager and Director of Services to provide comprehensive trauma-informed services as part of the Transitional Housing Domestic Violence program including case management, independent living skills development, housing support, safety planning, linkage to outside resources, and additional individualized services to Transition Aged Youth (TAY) 18-24 who have experienced domestic violence. Assist youth in developing skills, obtaining employment, and developing life plans that will support independence and their successful permanent housing placement free from abuse.



Qualifications: BA/BS in social work or related field preferred. Two years experience working with at-risk youth, experience with domestic violence involved clients preferred. Must have or be willing to be trained 40-hour Domestic Violence counselor training, Campbell Danger Assessment, Mental Health First Aid, Seeking Safety, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) trainings. Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care and dual diagnosis treatment; experience working in trauma-informed and dual diagnosis programs preferred. Record keeping, data collection and contract compliance abilities. Culturally sensitive and knowledge of resources in San Diego. Must possess excellent oral and written skills, and be able to work well autonomously and with a multi-disciplinary team. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure, meet multiple and competing deadlines.
