 Job Description        

San Diego Social Venture Partners (SDSVP) is seeking a temporary and part time Office and Special Projects Assistant to perform key administrative, operational and communications duties during a period of changing staff structure. This person will assist the Executive Director with event planning, office administration including data entry, scanning, note-taking, as well as basic communications. This is a paid position starting at $13-15/hour. 8-12 hours a week, schedule flexible. Some hours may be worked remotely. There is the possibility of longer term employment following the three month term of this position. • College students encouraged to apply. • Advanced proficiency with computers including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Dropbox; Salesforce and QuickBooks is a plus • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills • Attention to detail • Successful experience in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and self-management • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Exhibits an interest in philanthropy and working in the nonprofit sector • 1-2 years work experience • Willingness to wear multiple hats • Desire to maintain a positive, customer-focused office environment • A quick study; flexible • Has a good sense of humor • Interested in creating an environment where each member on a small team thrives • There is a strong preference for someone that shares SDSVP’s mission of creating a stronger and more effective nonprofit sector
