 Job Description        

Specific Responsibilities: Accountable to the BridgeWays Services program, Intuitional Clinical Lead, Program Manager and Director of Services. You will be working in a variety of locations which include; Kearny Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility, East Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility, Girl’s Rehabilitation Facility, Urban Camp, facilitating a variety of groups for the youth, with the overall goal of decreasing recidivism, reducing substance abuse, addressing anger and other factors that can lead to probation violations. The group facilitator will exhibit cultural sensitivity and a trauma informed approach to services with program participants and staff.



Qualifications: Minimum qualifications of BA level education in the areas of Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or Substance Abuse, plus 2 years experience providing services to youth and families or equivalent. Bilingual preferred. Candidate must possess the ability to make sound decisions independently. Must be able to apply judgment, ethics, and accountability while working with youth and their families. Demonstrates the ability to handle stressful and crisis situations tactfully and appropriately. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in all areas of job performance including adherence to appropriate professional boundaries. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment (mileage reimburse). Successful completion of multi-state criminal background check, TB, and Drug Test.
