 Job Description        

Perform monthly close procedures to provide management with financial reporting, results and variance analysis. Assist Controller in maintaining and tracking month end close. Work with program management staff and Controller to prepare and manage the annual operating budget process. Review and analyze monthly budget to actual variances and interact with internal departments to document and resolve variances while presenting financial details discovered in the financial results. Prepare monthly Finance Committee reporting and packet for distribution. Assist with year-end audit preparation researching general ledger issues, and assisting the Controller and CFO with projects as necessary. Prepare account reconciliations schedules and analyses for balance sheet and income statement accounts. Work with fundraising staff to review and maintain contributed revenue categories. Work with program management to maintain various grant reconciliation schedules.



The Corporate Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting Controller and supporting the Accounting and Finance team. Various tasks including, but not limited to; the month end accounting close cycle, general ledger and trial balance reconciliations, accounting software maintenance, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, Ad hoc reports for senior management, and development of accounting policies and procedures with documented process flow charts.


 Additional Information        

For consideration, candidates will need to have a minimum of six years of professional accounting experience including: general ledger, financial statement preparation for a multi-entity organization, month-end closing cycle, journal entries, solid financial analysis experience, exposure to budgeting and account and bank reconciliations. BS in Accounting from an accredited college with a minimum of six years accounting experience in a professional work environment or a combination of education and work experience. CPA license a plus. Minimum three-years of experience in multi-entity accounting. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently, and handle multiple tasks. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is essential. Intermediate to advanced computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Excel (Pivot/Lookup). Clear and effective communication skills both verbal and written. Knowledge of MIP/Abila accounting is required.
