Advocacy Support Facilitator-Per Diem- North/East County

 Job Description        

The Advocacy Support Facilitator is responsible for client program assessment and intake, client advocacy services, and arranging ancillary services for clients in Residential Programs, including emergency shelter, long-term housing, and support services. Performs work of moderate difficulty in a shelter facility.

 

 Qualifications        

EDUCATION • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and related experience EXPERIENCE • 2 years experience in the field of intimate partner violence/sexual assault intervention or prevention, client services, and/or crisis intervention. • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE o Bilingual oral and written fluency in language other than English strongly preferred. o One years’ experience in residential-based client services. REQUIRED SKILLS • Following the successful completion of the CCS’ California State-approved Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Training, complete a minimum of 12 hours of ongoing training per year as required by Cal OES. • Excellent interpersonal communication and phone skills. • Proactive problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. • Demonstrated knowledge of intimate partner violence and sexual assault issues and their impact on families.

 

 Additional Information        

$18.03 per hour SCHEDULING REQUIREMENT o Saturday and Sunday 8am- 4pm; 4pm -12am; 12am-8am o Five (5) holiday shifts minimum COVID-19 considerations: To keep our employees, clients, and communities safe, Center for Community Solutions has implemented safe practices required by Federal, State, and Local authorities such as, PPE, enhanced cleaning protocols, and hand sanitizing stations.
