Maintenance Technician

 Job Description        

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered. The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of basic to advanced repairs around a facility. Some other tasks a Maintenance Technician may be called upon to do include: Performing routine maintenance around buildings such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries Painting the buildings inside and out Maintaining a small water treatment well and tank system All share responsibility for dishwashing & cleaning



Camp Stevens is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Maintenance Technician. This is a unique opportunity for skilled worker who enjoys working independently and with people, while being in the out-of-doors in the mountains near Julian, California (65 miles northeast of San Diego).


 Additional Information        

Non-exempt hourly, full time: approximately $1800 per month. Benefits include onsite housing and food, medical and dental insurance, and pension.
