Front of House Manager

 Job Description        

The house manager is responsible for the operation of the (lobby, auditorium, cafe and other public areas). a) Coordinate and ensure the smooth operation of the Front of House. b) Ensure the safety of patrons, volunteers, and staff through the proper implementation and enforcement of emergency procedures. c) Prepare Front of House manager’s reports per performance including house counts, deposits, lost and found and patron’s feedback. d) Coordinate activities with the Patron Services staff, Group Sales, Stage Manager, and other appropriate staff. e) Coordinate the use of the cafe for group receptions including set up and clean up with group sales. f) Report and follow through on any malfunctions and safety concerns in the lobby and house to The Patron Services Director. g) Ensure kiosk display unit, lobby table, brochures.f h) Maintain the cleanliness of the café. i) Cover patron service rep's for their lunch break.

 

 Qualifications        

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills • Experience with volunteers and practical knowledge of theatre environment is essential • Excellent interpersonal skills, even temperament, ability to supervise effectively and mediate problems with volunteers, and patrons • Strong organizational skills • Sustained physical activity through lifting up to 50lb. (canisters and water bottles), moving up and down stairs, pushing carts, lobby set up and remaining on feet for long periods of time • Ability to handle fast paced environment with many disruptions

 

 Additional Information        

Flexible part time scheduling for this position. Position would be 1-3 4 hour shifts per week with the exception of dark performance weeks. PLEASE NO PHONE CALLS Occasionally we might add a morning performance. Must be 21 years of age or older. You will also receive two comp tickets for every North Coast Rep main stage performance.
