|
|
Provide crisis intervention and support for hotline callers. Responsible for responding to calls to the CCS hotline. Provide information, referrals, support, and crisis intervention. Assist CCS staff with various office administrative tasks and provide information, referrals, support.
Provide initial assessment of the appropriateness/ eligibility of an individual as a client of the shelter.
Assist shelter staff with necessary arrangements regarding transportation, food and medical needs of shelter residents.
Communicate any needs or concerns expressed by the residents to Shelter Site Manager or shelter staff.

| Qualifications |
|
|
|
|
|
- Complete CCS 60 hour Cal-EMA Certified Crisis Intervention Training
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Crisis Intervention experience prefered
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency
preferred
- Ability to be non-judmental, respectful, open minded and remain call in stressful situations

Information |

Volunteer work will be at Hidden Valley House North County Shelter or Project SafeHouse East County shelter. Volunteer commitment required is 4 to 6 hours per week, volunteers are needed for various time periods.
