Part-Time Web Support

The San Diego Audubon Society (SDAS) is seeking a part-time web developer and data analyst to update our website and perform various data processing and collection duties in support of the San Diego Bird Festival. The term of duties is from July 2012 to March 2013. SDAS conducts an annual Bird Festival in March of each year. Our website is used to advertise all the Festival activities, post details of the events and general information, and collect on-line registrations. We recommend that you view the Bird Festival pages on the SDAS website and note the structure of the current registration system. We are open to suggestions on ways to modify or improve the processing through use of other application software. We are also seeking recommendations on ways to improve the registration process during the conduct of the Festival. The work can be performed on a flexible schedule as agreed to by the applicant and SDAS at any place of convenience. The responsibilities will be defined by a statement of work that sets a limit of billable hours per month. The work is expected to require 100 hours each in the months of July, August 2012, and February 2013 and 20 hours per month in from September through January. Compensation is anticipated to be in the range of $15 - $20 per hour. Responsibilities: Upgrade the Bird Festival pages of SDAS website based on the 2013 schedule and direction from Festival leaders -Maintain files of registered guests, financial summaries -Produce lists of attendees sorted by event -Maintain address lists of registrants -Post status of registrations as required.

Experience in Joomla, Excel and Access is mandatory. Familiarity with add-on installations is a plus.
