IT Administrator

 Job Description        

Maintain/Troubleshoot/Upgrade all in-house technology including, Staff/Lab PCs, Window 7 pro, Window 2003 server, Unix server, LAN/Wi-Fi, Laser Printer, Phones etc. Domain, active directory and group policy management. Physical backup management. Documenting system changes, updating organization IT manual for vendors, network etc. PC repair and refurbishing. Drive imaging. Helpdesk support for staff. Computer volunteer management. Note: IT should be able to complete other assigned duties as requested by management.This is a part time position.



High school diploma, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of three years professional experience. Current A+ certification or other technical certifications. Minimum of five years experience as a UNIX administrator. Interest in non-profit structure and mission. Able to lift 40-50lbs strong organizational skills in managing complex tasks with autonomy and under pressure. Graphic/web design. The individual will be motivated, self-directed and conscientious of various roles and responsibilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


 Additional Information        

The IT Administrator is a key member of the Alliance for African Assistance as he or she provides internal technical support. It is the IT Administrator’s job to ensure that technology is functioning effectively and efficiently to support AAA’s daily administrative and classroom operations. Areas of oversight include net works, domain, individual PCs, Printers, Scanners and Copiers. Note: This is a part time position. Salary negotiable.
