Database Developer

 Job Description        

AVID® Center is currently seeking a temporary, full-time Database Developer. Under the direction of the Director of Data and Evaluation, the Database Developer will help design, document and integrate various enterprise databases and data sources. This position will provide backup for other members of the Data and Evaluation database team. This is expected to be a 12 month position.

 

 Qualifications        

• Ability to effectively communicate requirements & design specifications within & across teams • Ability to work effectively with other database developers & management • Ability to work effectively in busy high-stress environment • Ability to manage multiple and rapidly changes priorities calmly and efficiently • Must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently • Strong planning and organizational skills • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing • Must be analytical and data-driven • Ability to work effectively across departments Education and Experience: • 3 or more years’ SQL Server database development • 3 or more years’ working with ETL and multiple data streams • 3 or more years’ experience with documentation of system assets, resources, and procedures • BA/BS degree preferred; equivalent work experience may substitute for degree
