Senior Server Administrator

 Job Description        

Information Technology designs, develops, implements, and maintains key web-based systems, business applications, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, governance, and other services for AVID Center. IT is responsible for any software, hardware, and application that is used to support an employee with their job function. As technology continues to evolve and expand, IT is a backbone in keeping the organization up-to-date, connected, and moving forward. • Strong background in IT, including oversight of large server environments • Strong Azure experience: Azure AD, Azure DevOps, Office 365 E5 & EMS E5, IaaS, PaaS, etc. • Expertise in building highly available/scalable/reliable infrastructure • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD)

 

 Qualifications        

Required: • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field • Minimum of 3 years of related field experience • Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight and maintain a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction while managing multiple priorities • Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy • Experience with Windows server operating systems, Azure administration, and VMware ESXi • Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals • Experience with the following Microsoft products: Server 2008 through 2016, Windows 10 Enterprise, Azure Cloud Offerings, and Office 365 (E3/E5 and EMS suites) • Must have proven technical skills in building, developing, and maintaining high-availability server environments, as well as managing ongoing operational and project work *For further information, please see job announcement via AVID.org

This full-time, exempt position receives a competitive salary, PTO, paid holidays, health benefits—including medical, dental, and vision options—16 paid volunteer hours, an automatic 5% 403b contribution (after 90 days), performance pay opportunities up to 15% of previous year’s earnings, and more.
