About Francis Parker School: Francis Parker School is a coeducational independent day school in San Diego, California with 1300 students in grades JK-12. Founded in 1912, the school’s mission is “to create and inspire a diverse community of independent thinkers whose academic excellence, global perspective and strength of character prepare them to make a meaningful difference in the world”. Overlooking Mission Valley, two separate campuses serve students in Lower School – junior kindergarten through 5th grade; Middle School – 6th grade through 8th grade and Upper School – 9th grade through 12th grade. As a college preparatory school Parker offers a comprehensive program that includes twenty-five advanced placement courses as well as a rich palette of electives – all designed to meet the individual needs of our students. Job Description: Perform a variety of tasks associated with the installation and management of laptops, mobile devices, workstations, servers and networks. Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of these systems, including troubleshooting, and upgrades. Coordinate with the Technology Manager to provide technology support for the Parker community.

 

 Qualifications        

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Inspect, troubleshoot, clean, adjust, and repair the School’s technology equipment • Installation of new equipment and/or software • Manage and maintain inventory of school equipment • Responsible for purchasing and receiving of all technology items • Assists with the maintenance of security and communication systems/hardware • Provide maintenance and support of all printing equipment • Setup and troubleshoot AV technologies • Perform other duties as assigned In addition to the duties listed above, Francis Parker School expects the following of each employee: adheres to Francis Parker School’s policies and procedures; works in a safe manner; performs duties as workload necessitates; maintains a positive and respectful attitude; communicates regularly with supervisor about department issues; demonstrates efficient time management and prioritizes workload; demonstrates regular and consistent attendance and punctuality; meets department productivity standards; participates in Parker events as needed or required; and completes other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and set priorities within time constraints • Knowledge of networking technology • Knowledge of Macintosh and Windows hardware and operating systems • Ability to learn, retain, and implement knowledge quickly • Ability to exercise good judgment, problem solve and manage multiple projects • Extensive walking throughout the campus. Must be able to drive between both campuses
