 Job Description        

Join a team of talented Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Instructors at EIS who are passionate about providing high quality STEM experiences for all students. Together we are developing and inspiring the next generation of San Diego’s STEM literate community. Classes are taught in our 15,000 ft 2 STEM learning center. The STEM instructor will be assisting in the implementation of the Girls Take Flight and Future Innovators in Robotics & Engineering (FIRE) programs. The instructor will also teach after school and camps for 2-8th grade students throughout the school year and during school breaks. Send resumes and cover letter to info@eisca.org

 

 Qualifications        

• Must be eligible to work in the United States • Education or background in STEM preferably in Computer Science • Experience working with middle and high school students • Professional demeanor and work ethic • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

 

 Additional Information        

Girls Take Flight Drone Camp • Support with classroom management and supervision of 20 high school students during the week of drone camp held from Monday, March 29 to Friday, April 2, 2021. • Lead small activities and help students troubleshoot writing code using the Arduino platform. • Prior drone experience not necessary, but knowledge of coding is desirable. • Training will be held prior to the start of camp; total training is 8-10 hours. • Camp Duty Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm • Support EIS education team with inventory of supplies • Chaperone field trips • Set up and clean up labs Future Innovators in Robotics & Engineering (FIRE Up!) • Knowledgeable on C/C++ or Arduino, or have a coding background. • Figure out solutions and/or troubleshoot robotic systems used for the camp. • Available to teach every week day starting Monday, June 21st, 2021 and ending on Friday, August 27th, 2021 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (with a week off on the week of 4th of July). • Available for training
